National Campaign for Sustainable Agriculture

The National Campaign for Sustainable Agriculture (NCSA) collaborated with FoodRoutes Network to educate food and agriculture-related groups and the public about a wide range of federal rural development policies and programs, and how they can be better implemented and utilized to help farmers, ranchers and communities achieve diverse economic, social and environmental goals. This federal policy education and outreach project also aimed to build the base of support for future policies that will better serve the goals of local food systems development and environmental protections, by getting more people personally invested in valuable federal agriculture programs.

Results of this collaboration include the Federal Sustainable Agriculture Program Primer available on the National Campaign for Sustainable Agriculture Web site and a set of facts sheets on sustainable agriculture programs available in the Primer. Please click here to read the Primer.
